Candy Palmater is a recovered lawyer who turned from the courts to the comedy stage. Candy is the Queen of Canadian Comedy and is one of a few Aboriginal( Mi’Kmaq) gay woman comedians in Canada that is highly sought after and making waves. Canadian Comedian, Candy Palmater,s life has brought her from a small rural high school to valedictorian of her class at Dalhouise Law School. She is currently enrolled in a Masters of Education at ST.F.X while holding down a day job at the Nova Scotia Department of Education. In her “free” time, she is the producer, writer and star of the national prime time TV show, The Candy Show, which Season 2 is currently airing every Thursday nights on prime time, APTN HD and APTN channels. She can be heard regularly on CBC Radio’s Definitely Not the Opera ( DNTO), and performs stand up comedy around the country, most times performing to a sell out crowd everywhere she goes.
