TV Show filming in Halifax HOTTEST event of the year

Many awesome Television series are filmed in Halifax every year.  But most are closed sets, not open for the public to partake and understandably so. The Candy Show is a National Television series that does not go by the standard rules. In fact, filming a large portion of the hit National TV series is done in front of a live studio audience. This variety TV show is just that, a Variety TV show.  Hosted by Creator/ Writer/ Comedian Candy Palmater each episode begins with Comedy monologue plus a Music Guest and a Performing Artist.

The day time filming is a closed set, however, in the evening we open the doors to those who are 19+ and invite you into the house.  Door time is 6:10 – 6:50 pm so you MUST be in the door to the studio during this time to ensure you get a spot in the audience.  FOR TICKETS CLICK HERE.  We film 2 episodes each night except for Wednesday April 30th where we film only one.  13 episodes, 26 guests, 7 nights of taping.  Ticket price is ONE non-perishable food item for Feed NS bins that are on site.  Bring the food with you please.

There is a bar and merchandise on site, so bring cash.  During the break , we feed our audience some sandwiches – free.

REQUEST YOUR TICKETS HERE.  Simply check the dates and the guests you want to see below and email.  It’s that easy.

Have a safe Holiday season

A few news updates for you.

First, The Candy Show Season 4 will be premiering on Wednesday January 8th, 2014 11PM EST, on APTN and APTN HD Channels.  Candy’s National Award nominated Television series will be showing many NEW episodes from this past spring’s filming of hot Canadian Musicians, Performances of Magic, Trapeze, Hoop Dancing, Mi’Kmaq drummers and dancers, and much more exciting performances; and of course, the incomparable and hilarious Canadian stand up comedian, Candy Palmater, always starts off each episode with a monologue of such comedic brilliance.

The Candy Show is filmed in front of a live studio audience of 150 , every night,in Halifax Nova Scotia.  We film 13 high octane, exciting Episodes over 2 weeks.  Candy is the ONLY writer for every single episode,as well as being the Creative Executive Producer, so every single guest you see they are hand picked by Candy.  Every comedy monologue Candy delivers is written 100% by her alone.  This is a very important fact, as all other National Television series have a team of writers, but The Candy Show is truly Candy’s baby, and her own creation.  Candy does collaborate with her Multiple Award winning and Award Nominated for The Candy Show Director, Trevor Grant, out of Prince Edward Island.  Together, Candy and Trevor make beautiful magic for all of you to witness, on your HD channel.  Candy’s Executive Producing partner, Johanna Eliot, of Ocean Entertainment and her fantastic team, and the BEST TV crew in the business, bring The Candy Show to life.  This is a work of Love, Passion and fun – there is no other National Variety Television series like this running right now.

You can catch the first 3 seasons every Wednesday night 11PM EST on APTN and APTN HD Channels, and/ or watch on line right now: APTN.CA/THECANDYSHOW Click on the link. **click on each photo to make it larger**
