About NSRAP
In 2010, the Nova Scotia Rainbow Action Project (NSRAP) celebrated 15 years of service to Nova Scotia’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) or Rainbow Community. NSRAP has been working since 1995 across Nova Scotia as a voice for our right to legal and social equality. Over the last 15 years NSRAP has been a strong advocate for the rights of our communities. NSRAP played a key role in the Halifax Rainbow Health Project and continues to work on Transgender health issues, including provincial funding of Sex Reassignment Surgeries, and the rights of LGBT Elders in long term care. NSRAP has participated in numerous human rights cases involving same-sex rights, and was instrumental in bringing marriage equality to Nova Scotians.
NSRAP believes in working collaboratively throughout the Community and with government, businesses, institutions, and individuals to foster change. As our community advances from legal equality to true social equality, we rely on interested volunteers and active members who identify and bring relevant issues to the Board for action.

Candy Palmater has been in a world wind of magazines, on the news and is being talked about quite a lot these days. The Star/ Writer of The Candy Show is on fire, Season 2 of The Candy Show airs fall 2011 on Prime time TV on APTN HD and will also be on line at APTN.CA. The complete first season is currently watchable on APTN.CA and also on You Tube for the international fans. Candy played host to 12,000 screaming fans on July 1 and another SOLD out Comedy show at Halifax Casino on July 29, with an unannounced Atlantic Canadian Tour in the works as we speak. Not to mention all the private/ Corporate events she has booked to the end of 2011. Candy Palmater is a rare Comedian in that she writes and delivers her own Comedy, and that includes 100% of The Candy Show. You never know when Candy will be booked in your city.

Queen of Comedy is on the front cover of Halifax Magazine. Candy Palmater is taking over the country. Her New hit Variety TV show that is on Prime Time, with Season 2 Premiering Fall 2011, is turning a lot of heads and gaining attention at an alarming rate. Daily Candy’s office is receiving emails from musical talent that would like to be on the next season’s taping. *The tickets are complimentary- BUT Candy would love for each ticket holder to bring non-perishable food times to the night you are attending, for those who are able to help.  The food is for the Metro Food Bank, to help feed Nova Scotia.

Ticket list for each night is filling up fast!  The tickets will be ready for pick up in a week or two.  For those who have already emailed their ticket requests, Denise will be in touch with you to let you know when and where to pick up your tickets.
