This coming week, Candy will be starting her Podcast taping. Season one of Sweet Talk w/ Candy Palmater begins. The first season will have 12 episodes. Candy is working hard on completing her first book, first draft. The fast approaching deadline is this spring for Harper – Collins, and the book is set to release spring 2019. Time is ticking on quickly, and with Candy flying/ gigging all around the country on a weekly basis this leaves limited time for socializing.

Grand Marshal – Ottawa Capital Pride 2017
This August ,(August 21st to 27th, 2017), Ottawa Capital Pride week will happen. The Grand Marshal this year is Candy Palmater. There will be many events Candy will be attending throughout that week, plus delivering an empowering message at the vigil, then ending the week with the pride parade, celebrating in the nations capital.
Solidarity, love and kindness Candy is honored to be this years Grand Marshal. Candy and her wife Denise will be celebrating their 7 years of marriage during the week of events as well. Come out and show your love and support, be an ally, and attend as many of the events this week of pride will host. August 21st to August 27th, 2017. One love.

- June 15th to 22nd – on the road and air to the West Coast, North Coast and East Coast of Canada.
- June 23 – July…. early July we are taking a much over due vacation/ break and will be out of commission for a couple weeks.
- PODCAST time... when we come back from our break, Candy will back on the airwaves my friends. Not right away as we will be busy taping the episodes and meeting with our Producer , so on. Before March 8th, Candy will be in Ottawa on March 4th for the New Sun Conference performing some comedy – maybe we will see you there! See a couple posters clients have drawn up. Candy has many other schools, Universities, unions, Corporate, Educators, Indigenous, Equity events coming up in the next many months… BUT Let’s watch for her on CBC TV as she defends the book The Break by Katherena Vermette for CANADA READS 2017

Candy Palmater and Adam Beach are the headliners for this event. Candy will speak and is the emcee for the 2 day event at the Tim Horton’s Onondaga Camp in St. George Ontario.
Education is extremely important to Candy, and much of her travels across the country and nation she speaks to students, educators, Government, Management and more, speaking on various topics around the importance of education. Each week she teaches Native Studies course at Dalhousie University in Halifax for the TYP, Transition Year program. In all her speakings/ teachings and even her comedy, you can hear the clear message of education, love and being true to yourself.
Candy is one of kind. Her technique, style and use of solemn emotion creates a safe environment for learning and feeling, while empowering the participants to be the best we all can be in life.
