Its Just Another Mani Monday, inspire by Indspire Awards Gala

Happy Monday everyone.

Wow, what a week.  This week’s manicure was inspired by the gown I wore to perform stand up comedy at the 20th annual Indpsire  Awards Gala, held in Saskatoon of February 15th, 2013.  The color matched my gown perfectly, have a look.

First Nation Comedian on the cover of a Magazine, on the APTN Marquee

Well this is big, exciting news.  Candy Palmater, Canada’s only Gay, Native, woman Comedian with a hit National Television Show on APTN, is on the cover of the big National Aboriginal Magazine, SAY Magazine, which is also on the giant marquee of  Aboriginal People’s Television Network (APTN) in Winnipeg! 

This week:

Candy is in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and she will be performing stand up comedy on the big stage at the Inspire Awards., where she will be sharing the stage with the country singer, Terri Clark. Blog

The Indpsire Awards is a National Live to tape Televised events.

Candy has a new manicure she is rocking this week.  Candy will be performing at the Indspire Awards Gala Show, so it is important to match her nails to her gown.  This week’s look is a nail applique by Incoco called “Best Dressed”.  Check it out.

The Candy Show has been Nominated for a Canadian Screen (GEMINI) Award for best Direction in a Variety or Comedy TV Series. image

Candy Palmater has been personally nominated for an ECMA ( East Coast Music Award) – Candy Palmater has been promoting East Coast Music and East Coast Talent, along with east Coast Comedy with her hit National Television series, The Candy Show.  This ECMA Nomination is for Media Person of the Year.  tumblr_inline_mgpzchkQvq1rpbob3

The Candy Show receives a Canadian Screen Award Nomination (Gemini)

Hello everyone,

Big News: The national Television Series, The Candy Show, has received a Nomination for Best Direction in a Variety or Sketch Comedy TV Series.  The Candy Show Season 3 will Premiere on February 20th, 2013.  The Canadian Screen Award Nomination is for Episode 1 of Season 2. Season 4 will be Produced/ filmed ( 13 Episodes), in front of a live studio audience in Halifax Nova Scotia in April 2013.  The line up Guests will be shared soon….. 1. First: Use Chip skip by O.P.I.   Over this layer I used Ridge Filler also by O.P.I

2. Polishes: GREEN: 1st apply “Under the Mistletoe” by Julie, then over this layer, I used the color “NPG 163” by NYX girls.

 SILVER: 1st apply “220 Celeb City’ by Sally Hansen hard as nails Xtreme Wear, then over this layer I used “Crown Me Already” by O.P.I

3. Top Coat, I used Sech Vite

Recent Engagements

I have been on the road traveling the country for Comedy, TV, Professional Speaking and Hosting for the past few months. I have been posting photos and updates on my website and I wanted to share with you where I have been in the last couple weeks.  I had the pleasure of visiting North Nova Education Centre and Northumberland Regional High School, speaking to students about Diversity, Inclusion with the world theme of “Born This Way”.  Speaking to High School students is very important to me, definitely one of my high lights each year.  North Nova Education Centre was so welcoming, I have to show you some great pictures we took while visiting.  Much love greeted me as I entered the front doors, and I was well looked after by everyone, Thank you.
