It has been a long time since our last posting, but, thank you for sticking with us.  A change will be coming to all social media and website soon, but please, stick with us. More postings will be announced to keep you updated on everything happening with Candy Palmater.

First, Comedy shows coming. One September 14th TaDa! Festival in Wakefield, Quebec and the other will be at Seneca College on November 7th, 2019.  Rare comedy shows for Candy outside the corporate comedy world, these two will be open to the public for ticket sales.   Ta Da Festival http://www.tadafestival.ca/

Candy is currently working hard to complete edited draft of her script for her first book with Harper Collins, set to drop spring 2020,. Stay tuned for release date.

Candy continues to travel the country speaking to corporations, educational sectors and other clients. Soon she will be back at Seneca College for a new lecture series in early 2020.

Thank you to every one of you who have subscribed to the free subscription to our website updates.  We appreciate every fan and welcome each of you to our website. Candy reads all your comments, and will reply to your messages directly.

NEWS for week of Nov. 26th- Dec.1st

What a week Candy has.  Tuesday is a filming day with APTN (Aboriginal People’s Television Network), where she is on National News “Laughing Drum” segment.  “Laughing Drum ” is segment where Aboriginal Comedians comment and speak about issues and topics that relate to Canadian politics and other agendas.  It is fun, thought provoking and sometimes silly, all depending on the topic of course.  You can check it out on Tuesday nights. For Candy’s own National Television series, The Candy Show, currently airing on Wednesday nights, the first 3 seasons, you can watch online or on TV.  Season 4 Premiere with brand NEW episodes will air this winter. (good thing you have subscribed to our website, so you do not miss the premiere).  Season 5 filming dates TBA for 2014.

Wednesday: Candy is a part of the International fundraising event, WeDay, coming to Atlantic Canada,  Candy Palmater is one of the celebrity speakers at this momentous event for young people, being held at Halifax Metro Centre. For details here is the website

Thursday: Candy hosts a benefit fundraiser for Scott Jones.  If you are 19+ you can come out and support this important cause.  For details about Scott Jones, click here.

Saturday: Candy Palmater hosts the huge Benefit for the Elsipogtog Mi’Kmaq Warriors on the Fracking issues in NB.  Elsipogtog benefit Concert This affects all Canadians, and of all ethnic cultures. This is held at the Marquee Ballroom on Gottingen Street in Halifax. Poster for benefit Nov.30MORE TV News to come…….

The following week Candy and I will be on the road for Comedy gigs over the maritime provinces.

December 4th is Candy’s Birthday!

Elsipogtog Benefit Concert hosted by Comedian Candy Palmater

Benefit concert picElsipogtog Benefit Concert time and venue details for Halifax, Saturday, November 30th!! **2 parts, 2 venues, 2 mins from each other lol**

First Location:
Mi’kmaq Native Friendship Center
6-8:00pm: Cultural Showcase, Vendors & Silent Auction!

Our Cultural Showcase features an internationally renowned group of Mi’kmaq singers, Eastern Eagle, as our host drum group. We also have All Nations Drum Group, dancers from all powwow styles and a Hoop Dance Exhibition. The Silent Auction will include Artwork, Fancy Shawl and Jingle dresses, hand drums, earrings, and anything else people would like to donate to help the benefit raise funds. All vendors are welcome and can contact me to reserve a table!

8pm-2am: Fashion Show, Stand-Up Comedy, Solo Singers and 4 Live Bands!

To start, we have one super funny Mi’kmaq.. who was recently voted as Halifax’s Best Comedian, nominated by the ECMA’s, and host of “The Candy Show”, Candy Palmater, as our nights event host!! The Fashion Show will showcase HeadRush, The Vault and InkStarz Native designs by “Natasha Patles” and “Dwayne Ward”- which will include both female and male Mi’kmaq models. We then have special guest, “Ryan McMahon”, a very hilarious Ojibway Comedian, who’s flying in from Winnipeg to do Stand-Up Comedy for us! Our stacked music line-up includes Listiguj’s very own “Melissa Girven” and “Gmanwolf Productions”, “Kicking Krotch”, and two Aboriginal Hiphop Music groups who were recently nominated by the East Coast Music Awards for Aboriginal Recording Of The Year, “City Natives” and “Black & Grey” to perform for us LIVE!!!

What is Happening this week?

It is East Coast Music Awards week.  The ECMA’s are in Halifax, and it is a busy week for Candy.  Candy Palmater has been nominated for an ECMA – media person of the year, with her National television show, The Candy Show.  The Candy Show has a Canadian Screen (Gemini) Nomination for Season 2, for best direction.  This is a great year so far for the Canadian Aboriginal Comedian!

Candy Palmater is hosting the 3 Molson late night stage Gala’s at the Delta Halifax.  For tickets to the show, go to the ECMA website.

Happy Monday beautiful people.

Candy has a new manicure she is rocking this week.  Candy will be performing at the Indspire Awards Gala Show, so it is important to match her nails to her gown.  This week’s look is a nail applique by Incoco called “Best Dressed”.  Check it out.

Its Just Another Mani Monday – This weeks manicure by The Candy Show’s Host, Candy Palmater

Good Monday morning fabulous people.  Monday means a new manicure look, and this week is a Valentine’s Day look.  I am not all that happy how it turned out, but I wanted to share with you all anyway.  Next time I try this look, I will use black nail polish and not white. Have a look.

Candy Palmater and her team are getting ready for Season 4 The Candy Show Production, and today Candy will be heading to Silver City Tattoo to receive a part of a tattoo from Kirt Silver.  He will be one of the guests on Season 4, where Candy will be tattooed live on set in front of a full audience.

The Candy Show receives a Canadian Screen Award Nomination (Gemini)

Big News: The national Television Series, The Candy Show, has received a Nomination for Best Direction in a Variety or Sketch Comedy TV Series.  The Candy Show Season 3 will Premiere on February 20th, 2013.  The Canadian Screen Award Nomination is for Episode 1 of Season 2. Season 4 will be Produced/ filmed ( 13 Episodes), in front of a live studio audience in Halifax Nova Scotia in April 2013.  The line up Guests will be shared soon…..
