Season 3 Launch Party – hosted by Canadian Comedian, Candy Palmater

Last night was the Season 3 premiere of The Candy Show., on APTN and APTN HD channels.  Aboriginal Comedian hosts her own National Variety TV series with Musical guests, East Coast Artists and Performers….. and stand up comedy by the host, Candy Palmater.

To start the night off a big launch party was held at Michael’s bar & Grill on Young Street in Halifax, Nova Scotia. ( Halifax is where The Candy Show is filmed).   The night was filled of love, friends, family, press and fabulous fans.  Many Thank you’s go out to each and every person that came, for sharing this wonderful night with us.  A special big THANKS goes to the music artists that performed: Christine Campbell, Chris Martin and Like A Motorcycle. The Candy Show Season 3 Premiere TONIGHT – Canadian Comedian Candy Palmater

Tonight is the big night.  Aboriginal Comedian, Candy Palmater,  gears up for Season 3 with a Launch Party at Michael’s in Halifax.   Are you ready for another exciting Season with more Episodes?

Season 3 Premiere of the Hit and Award nominated National Variety TV Series, The Candy Show   on APTN and APTN HD Channels.  Featuring: Canadian Aboriginal Comedian Candy Palmater (Host), and the Music of International renowned Rap/ Hip Hop artists “Three Sheet”   and International renowned, Award winning Mi’Kmaq Drum group “Eastern Eagle”  

                   

The Candy Show is filmed in Halifax, by Fancy Shoes TV INC.  A partnership with Candy Palmater and Johanna Eliot of Ocean Entertainment.

First Nation Comedian on the cover of a Magazine, on the APTN Marquee

Well this is big, exciting news.  Candy Palmater, Canada’s only Gay, Native, woman Comedian with a hit National Television Show on APTN, is on the cover of the big National Aboriginal Magazine, SAY Magazine, which is also on the giant marquee of  Aboriginal People’s Television Network (APTN) in Winnipeg! 

This week:

Candy is in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and she will be performing stand up comedy on the big stage at the Inspire Awards., where she will be sharing the stage with the country singer, Terri Clark. Blog

The Indpsire Awards is a National Live to tape Televised events.

The Candy Show receives a Canadian Screen Award Nomination (Gemini)

Big News: The national Television Series, The Candy Show, has received a Nomination for Best Direction in a Variety or Sketch Comedy TV Series.  The Candy Show Season 3 will Premiere on February 20th, 2013.  The Canadian Screen Award Nomination is for Episode 1 of Season 2. Season 4 will be Produced/ filmed ( 13 Episodes), in front of a live studio audience in Halifax Nova Scotia in April 2013.  The line up Guests will be shared soon….. Comedy, Comedy everywhere

Hello fantastic people.

Candy has been all over the country and is on the road, or to be more accurate, in the air as we speak, traveling to comedy gigs.  Candy performed at the Banff Centre for the Arts last week and is heading to Saskatoon this week.  When Candy is not on the road, in the air you will find her most often on CBC radio DNTO, like this past Saturday.  Here is what you might have missed on DNTO, “First Dates”, Candy’s segment starts at 38:30.

Photos from Aboriginal Day LIVE 2012 – on APTN

Candy was a smash hit as one of the hosts on Aboriginal Day Live – National LIVE Televised music festival, celebrating National Aboriginal Day – live from Winnipeg and from Regina. Candy is Canada’s only First Nation, gay woman,stand-up comedian that has her own national prime time TV series, The Candy Show, that airs Thursday nights on APTN & APTNHD, as well as many other times throughout the week. Season 3 is currently in post-production, and will air later this winter.
On set of Candy’s show, The Candy Show, she conducts all her interviews of the Musical guests, in her giant big pink bed. APTN had a replica built of this big pink bed and a smaller stage built for Candy specifically to interview musicians on Aboriginal day LIVE – including, Inez and Joey Stylez.
WE have attached a handful of pictures from the night’s event. Please check out APTN & APTN HD to catch the replay of Aboriginal Day live broadcast – they usually replay it several times until next years broadcast.
Candy is the ultimate Canadian Entertainer – her very unique comedy style is not found on Yuk Yuk’s stage, or other smaller comedy stages. Candy Palmater’s stand up comedy is one of a kind, unique and absolutely hilariously funny! Young or older, everyone LOVES Candy. My dare – try not to laugh, come on , I dare you.
