NEWS for week of Nov. 26th- Dec.1st

What a week Candy has.  Tuesday is a filming day with APTN (Aboriginal People’s Television Network), where she is on National News “Laughing Drum” segment.  “Laughing Drum ” is segment where Aboriginal Comedians comment and speak about issues and topics that relate to Canadian politics and other agendas.  It is fun, thought provoking and sometimes silly, all depending on the topic of course.  You can check it out on Tuesday nights. For Candy’s own National Television series, The Candy Show, currently airing on Wednesday nights, the first 3 seasons, you can watch online or on TV.  Season 4 Premiere with brand NEW episodes will air this winter. (good thing you have subscribed to our website, so you do not miss the premiere).  Season 5 filming dates TBA for 2014.

Wednesday: Candy is a part of the International fundraising event, WeDay, coming to Atlantic Canada,  Candy Palmater is one of the celebrity speakers at this momentous event for young people, being held at Halifax Metro Centre. For details here is the website

Thursday: Candy hosts a benefit fundraiser for Scott Jones.  If you are 19+ you can come out and support this important cause.  For details about Scott Jones, click here.

Saturday: Candy Palmater hosts the huge Benefit for the Elsipogtog Mi’Kmaq Warriors on the Fracking issues in NB.  Elsipogtog benefit Concert This affects all Canadians, and of all ethnic cultures. The following week Candy and I will be on the road for Comedy gigs over the maritime provinces.

December 4th is Candy’s Birthday!

Halifax Jazz Festival – Candy to Host

Happy Friday everyone.

This is a day later then I like to post, but tonight in Halifax, Candy Palmater is hosting at The Pavilion with The Extremities and A Tribe Called Red.  It is going to be quite the show.  For more details on the event and more of the Festival, please click here

Candy is no stranger to the music scene in Canada, most particularly East Coast. With her national award nominated Television series currently in its 4th season, featuring Canadian Musicians from all over the country, it is a perfect fit for Candy to host.  Candy’s ECMA ( East Coast Music Award) nomination is rightly earned, and the mutual respect between Candy Palmater and all music artists is real and honest. National Aboriginal Day – First Nation Comedian set to perform

Candy Palmater is Canada’s funniest Aboriginal stand up comedian on the circuit today, just ask all who know her, who are her fans, and all of the country, she is a force to be reckoned with on the stage.

TV Filming Season 4 in Halifax April – The Candy Show

Wow, the big Production dates are around the corner, literally.  This Thursday April 18th is the first of many nights of taping Season 4 of the hit national variety Television series, The Candy Show. If you want to attend one or all the tapings all you have to do is click the ticket button on the right of this page. Season 3 Launch Party – hosted by Canadian Comedian, Candy Palmater

Last night was the Season 3 premiere of The Candy Show., on APTN and APTN HD channels.  Aboriginal Comedian hosts her own National Variety TV series with Musical guests, East Coast Artists and Performers….. and stand up comedy by the host, Candy Palmater.

To start the night off a big launch party was held at Michael’s bar & Grill on Young Street in Halifax, Nova Scotia. ( Halifax is where The Candy Show is filmed).   The night was filled of love, friends, family, press and fabulous fans.  Many Thank you’s go out to each and every person that came, for sharing this wonderful night with us.  A special big THANKS goes to the music artists that performed: Christine Campbell, Chris Martin and Like A Motorcycle. First Nation Comedian on the cover of a Magazine, on the APTN Marquee

Well this is big, exciting news.  Candy Palmater, Canada’s only Gay, Native, woman Comedian with a hit National Television Show on APTN, is on the cover of the big National Aboriginal Magazine, SAY Magazine, which is also on the giant marquee of  Aboriginal People’s Television Network (APTN) in Winnipeg! 

This week:

Candy is in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and she will be performing stand up comedy on the big stage at the Inspire Awards., where she will be sharing the stage with the country singer, Terri Clark. Blog
