First, The Candy Show Season 4 will be premiering on Wednesday January 8th, 2014 11PM EST, on APTN and APTN HD Channels. Candy’s National Award nominated Television series will be showing many NEW episodes from this past spring’s filming of hot Canadian Musicians, Performances of Magic, Trapeze, Hoop Dancing, Mi’Kmaq drummers and dancers, and much more exciting performances; and of course, the incomparable and hilarious Canadian stand up comedian, Candy Palmater, always starts off each episode with a monologue of such comedic brilliance.
The Candy Show is filmed in front of a live studio audience of 150 , every night,in Halifax Nova Scotia. We film 13 high octane, exciting Episodes over 2 weeks. Candy is the ONLY writer for every single episode,as well as being the Creative Executive Producer, so every single guest you see they are hand picked by Candy. Every comedy monologue Candy delivers is written 100% by her alone. This is a very important fact, as all other National Television series have a team of writers, but The Candy Show is truly Candy’s baby, and her own creation. Candy does collaborate with her Multiple Award winning and Award Nominated for The Candy Show Director, Trevor Grant, out of Prince Edward Island. Together, Candy and Trevor make beautiful magic for all of you to witness, on your HD channel. Candy’s Executive Producing partner, Johanna Eliot, of Ocean Entertainment and her fantastic team, and the BEST TV crew in the business, bring The Candy Show to life. Candy Palmater is a Canadian Icon, she is known in the Canadian scene as an all around Entertainer. She is a stand up comedian, and TV Host of her own National Variety TV Show on the Aboriginal People Television Network, ( APTN), currently wrapping up filming her 4th Season, with 13 episodes. Candy has acted on Season 4 of Call Me Fitz before filming her own TV series, and has just been on set of Thom Fitzgerald’s new TV series, Sex and Violence for OUT TV. With a week rest, she is off to Toronto for some work, meetings and Hosting a massive outdoor surprise! Phew, it has been a crazy past couple weeks. Halifax just hosted the 25th year of the ECMA’s ( East Coast Music Awards), and Candy hosted the 3 Late Night Molson stages, plus the First Nation Showcase. Candy was nominated for an ECMA 2013, for Media Person of the Year, for her promotion of East Coast Music with her national Television show, The Candy Show.
Candy attended the Canadian Screen Awards ( Gemini’s), since The Candy Show was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for Best Direction. Candy also was a part of the National Televised Indspire Awards, performing a killer comedy set and stealing the show. the televised event will be on 2 Networks, and we will keep you all posted for the airing of this Awards Show.

What is Happening this week?
It is East Coast Music Awards week. The ECMA’s are in Halifax, and it is a busy week for Candy. Candy Palmater has been nominated for an ECMA – media person of the year, with her National television show, The Candy Show. The Candy Show has a Canadian Screen (Gemini) Nomination for Season 2, for best direction. This is a great year so far for the Canadian Aboriginal Comedian!
Candy Palmater is hosting the 3 Molson late night stage Gala’s at the Delta Halifax. For tickets to the show, go to the ECMA website.

Last night was the Season 3 premiere of The Candy Show., on APTN and APTN HD channels. Aboriginal Comedian hosts her own National Variety TV series with Musical guests, East Coast Artists and Performers….. and stand up comedy by the host, Candy Palmater.
To start the night off a big launch party was held at Michael’s bar & Grill on Young Street in Halifax, Nova Scotia. ( Halifax is where The Candy Show is filmed). The night was filled of love, friends, family, press and fabulous fans. Many Thank you’s go out to each and every person that came, for sharing this wonderful night with us. A special big THANKS goes to the music artists that performed: Christine Campbell, Chris Martin and Like A Motorcycle. ( all of who will be guests on Season 4).
