Fall 2017 – Candy schedule

Happy early fall everyone.

Summer had been a wonderful, crazy busy time for Candy. In case you missed some of the action of new projects and upcoming projects here is a little recap:

  1. Candy signed a Book deal with Harper-Collins Canada – Candy is hard at work writing in her down time when not traveling for events/ gigs. Book is set to release Spring 2019.
  2. Candy is working on another APTN  series where she is Narrating 13 episodes  – titled Skindigenous.  Watch for the NEW TV series coming soon.
  3. PODCAST: Yes, Candy’s own podcast is in the works right now.  Set to launch winter 2017.  More details will come, so stay tuned to the website and subscribe to not miss out on the launch.

FALL 2017

The schedule is jammed packed with Candy traveling from one coast to the other this fall.  UNBC next week then to NFLD next month, with many other provinces in between.  Candy will be speaking with Peter Mansbridge on September 29th at Mount Allison University – Mansbridge Summit. Where is Candy Palmater for JUNE 2017???

Here is the June 2017 post for you.  Many of you awesome fans have been emailing and social media inquiring where will Candy be and why isn’t she on the Radio??   Here is a quick look at June:

  • June 5th – Video recording for magazine with new column
  • CapeBreton – June 7, 8th, 2017
  • June 9th-14th many writing project deadlines – she will be based back in Toronto for these projects – two for books, one of her very own…. watch for the press release with the details,  plus she is a NEW columnist for Chatelaine and there is more….
  • June 15th to 22nd – on  the road and air to the West Coast, North Coast and East Coast of Canada.
  • June 23 – July….  early July we are taking a much over due vacation/ break and will be out of commission for a couple weeks.
  • PODCAST time... when we come back from our break, Candy will back on the airwaves my friends.  Not right away as we will be busy taping the episodes and meeting with our Producer , so on.  BUT rest assured, you will have Candy to listen to very soon, and not seasonal.  You will be able to listen to her all year round!!!!  HOW EXCITING!!!  SUBSCRIBE to our website so  you do not miss out on more news updates with Projects and events in your area.

The Candy Show won for BEST TV Series for the second year in a row at the Indigenous Music Awards held in Winnipeg.  Thank you to each and every one of you who voted from all over the globe, and for your love and support. We share this award with you…. but we will hold onto it in our office. Candy hosted the red carpet while her category was announced and the great Canadian icon ,Fred Penner, presented Candy with her award on the red carpet during her hosting. It was fantastic! I caught it all on vlog which will go up sometime next week when we get back from Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The Candy Show is Created, Produced, Written 100% all material and Co-executive produced…… hosted let’s not forget, by Candy Palmater. Candy had hired a team from ocean Entertainment in Halifax to help with production for the five seasons, under the name Fancy Shoes TV INC.

After having moved from Halifax Nova Scotia to Toronto Ontario, we are still working hard to bring more Candy to you all across the nation and globe. Today and all this week, week two, Candy is guest hosting q on CBC radio, be sure to tune in for exciting interviews executed by Candy Palmater.

When she returns to Halifax, we will then drive to Ontario, Candy, me and our three little puppies. Happy Friday and Saturday everyone: Some of you will get the notification the day after I post this. Exciting NEW episode of The Candy Show comes to your TV set on Tuesday March 3rd, 2015 on APTN and APTN HD Channels. 9:30PM EST/ 10:30PM AST – be sure to tune in 30 minutes earlier to catch last week’s episode, just before this one airs.

In this episode, titled “Dirty Laundry”, Candy Palmater performs standup comedy for 10 minutes off the top. Then it’s East Coast and West Coast of Canadian music at it’s best. Inez Jasper of British Columbia will have you off your butts dancing, and Charlie A’Court, Blues master extraordinaire, in Germany they call him Charlie Hasselhoff…..anyway, will rock the stage with his incredible band of Kev Corbett on Base and David Skinner on drums. Don;t miss this episode. Put on your dancing shoes and get ready to shake your booty with these two amazing award winning Guests.

First piece of news I want to share is that Candy Palmater has made the tiny shortlist of hopefuls for the permanent HOST seat for Q on CBC Radio one. The decision will be made soon, and we are asking everyone to send in positive emails to CBC : Q@CBC.CA and/ or tweet using the hashtag #QTheFuture and using Candy’s twitter handle @TheCandyShow in the same tweet. We ask for your continued support and love, as this is a fantastic opportunity to hear Candy daily.
