A few news updates for you.
First, The Candy Show Season 4 will be premiering on Wednesday January 8th, 2014 11PM EST, on APTN and APTN HD Channels. Candy’s National Award nominated Television series will be showing many NEW episodes from this past spring’s filming of hot Canadian Musicians, Performances of Magic, Trapeze, Hoop Dancing, Mi’Kmaq drummers and dancers, and much more exciting performances; and of course, the incomparable and hilarious Canadian stand up comedian, Candy Palmater, always starts off each episode with a monologue of such comedic brilliance.
The Candy Show is filmed in front of a live studio audience of 150 , every night,in Halifax Nova Scotia. We film 13 high octane, exciting Episodes over 2 weeks. Candy is the ONLY writer for every single episode,as well as being the Creative Executive Producer, so every single guest you see they are hand picked by Candy. Every comedy monologue Candy delivers is written 100% by her alone. This is a very important fact, as all other National Television series have a team of writers, but The Candy Show is truly Candy’s baby, and her own creation. Candy does collaborate with her Multiple Award winning and Award Nominated for The Candy Show Director, Trevor Grant, out of Prince Edward Island. Together, Candy and Trevor make beautiful magic for all of you to witness, on your HD channel. NEWS for week of Nov. 26th- Dec.1st
What a week Candy has. Tuesday is a filming day with APTN (Aboriginal People’s Television Network), where she is on National News “Laughing Drum” segment. “Laughing Drum ” is segment where Aboriginal Comedians comment and speak about issues and topics that relate to Canadian politics and other agendas. It is fun, thought provoking and sometimes silly, all depending on the topic of course. You can check it out on Tuesday nights. For Candy’s own National Television series, The Candy Show, currently airing on Wednesday nights, the first 3 seasons, you can watch online or on TV. Season 4 Premiere with brand NEW episodes will air this winter. (good thing you have subscribed to our website, so you do not miss the premiere). Season 5 filming dates TBA for 2014.
Wednesday: Candy is a part of the International fundraising event, WeDay, coming to Atlantic Canada, Candy Palmater is one of the celebrity speakers at this momentous event for young people, being held at Halifax Metro Centre. For details here is the website
Thursday: Candy hosts a benefit fundraiser for Scott Jones. If you are 19+ you can come out and support this important cause. For details about Scott Jones, click here.
Saturday: Candy Palmater hosts the huge Benefit for the Elsipogtog Mi’Kmaq Warriors on the Fracking issues in NB. Elsipogtog benefit Concert This affects all Canadians, and of all ethnic cultures. This is held at the Marquee Ballroom on Gottingen Street in Halifax.

Candy Palmater has been very busy lately, working on many National Television projects that include: The Candy Show – National Variety Television series Created by and 100% written by, Candy Palmater. The Candy Show filmed it’s 4th season in Halifax spring 2013 at the Olympic Gardens, where we transform the large building into a giant filming studio. Seasons 1, 2 and 3 can currently be viewed every Wednesday night on APTN and APTN HD Channels. ( Check your service provider for exact airing times in your time zone). Candy has a NEW role in Thom Fitgerald,s NEW series, Forgive Me, Season 1, as Agnes, for Super Channel. ( Currently filming)
Watch for another NEW National Television series, Created by Candy Palmater, and she has hired another know Canadian writer, Drew Hayden Taylor, to write with her, called Pink Indian. Candy has a development deal with APTN, and is currently working away writing and developing her Pilot and a few episodes, hoping to begin filming in 2014.
