Happy Friday and Saturday everyone: Some of you will get the notification the day after I post this. Exciting NEW episode of The Candy Show comes to your TV set on Tuesday March 3rd, 2015 on APTN and APTN HD Channels. 9:30PM EST/ 10:30PM AST – be sure to tune in 30 minutes earlier to catch last week’s episode, just before this one airs.

In this episode, titled “Dirty Laundry”, Candy Palmater performs standup comedy for 10 minutes off the top. Then it’s East Coast and West Coast of Canadian music at it’s best. Inez Jasper of British Columbia will have you off your butts dancing, and Charlie A’Court, Blues master extraordinaire, in Germany they call him Charlie Hasselhoff…..anyway, will rock the stage with his incredible band of Kev Corbett on Base and David Skinner on drums. Don;t miss this episode. Put on your dancing shoes and get ready to shake your booty with these two amazing award winning Guests.

A massive Thank you for all your voting on awards, emails and tweets of love and kindness and the intense passion you have for our brand. The Candy Show has 5 seasons of phenomenal variety Television supporting and promoting Canadian Arts, Culture, Entertainment and Music to the globe. The award winning Television series has completed its Production, with 5 full seasons that run on APTN prime time watching.

The next leg of the journey for Candy Palmater is beginning and with this is a transition from National television to National Radio. Candy has guest hosted Studio Q with Candy Palmater being one of the short listed hopefuls to take over the chair. This week on The Candy Show, another new episode of Season 5, Candy will dance some flamenco with the incomparable Maria Osende of Halifax. Flamenco dancer extraordinaire. We hear the tunes of Aboriginal singer/song writer Tracy Bone and of course we always begin our episode with the hilarious comedy of Candy Palmater. TUESDAY FEBRUARY 24th, 2015 9:30PM EST on APTN and APTN HD Channels and this episode will repeat the following week, but 30 minutes earlier, along with another new episode – for one hour of pure Canadian Entertainment. The Candy Show was created/ written/ Hosted by Executive Producer Candy Palmater and was filmed in front of a live studio audience in Halifax, NS.

First piece of news I want to share is that Candy Palmater has made the tiny shortlist of hopefuls for the permanent HOST seat for Q on CBC Radio one. The decision will be made soon, and we are asking everyone to send in positive emails to CBC : Q@CBC.CA and/ or tweet using the hashtag #QTheFuture and using Candy’s twitter handle @TheCandyShow in the same tweet. We ask for your continued support and love, as this is a fantastic opportunity to hear Candy daily. Many of your have already sent in your supportive emails to CBC, we thank you so much for your love and kindness. Without you Candy would not be doing what she loves to do, entertain and speak to people through her art and passion. Candy Palmater and Adam Beach are the headliners for this event. Candy will speak and is the emcee for the 2 day event at the Tim Horton’s Onondaga Camp in St. George Ontario.

Education is extremely important to Candy, and much of her travels across the country and nation she speaks to students, educators, Government, Management and more, speaking on various topics around the importance of education. Each week she teaches Native Studies course at Dalhousie University in Halifax for the TYP, Transition Year program. In all her speakings/ teachings and even her comedy, you can hear the clear message of education, love and being true to yourself.

Candy is one of kind. Her technique, style and use of solemn emotion creates a safe environment for learning and feeling, while empowering the participants to be the best we all can be in life.
